Other observations
"The Winning Throw" is one of two of Harry's paintings that feature the game of Skittles. The other was painted 12 years later in 1905
Ruth, now aged 11 is standing at the table waiting her turn (or watching),
with her next older brother Edgar (now aged 14), Edwin (now aged 10) and Charles
(with the boater and now aged 8) more closely involved with the game. The other
girl (sitting down) is probably a visiting friend.
