Other observations
The girl is probably Ruth (now aged 3) and is acting either with Oswald (now
aged 5) or Edgar (now aged 6). The younger child in the rather precarious chair
(a cart) is probably the first appearance of Edwin (now aged 2).
The High chair at the right edge of the painting featured in quite a few of
Harry Brooker's paintings. The long object on the floor near the chair may be
a bed warming pan and if it is this too featured in a quite a few of his paintings.
This is the fourth known of a series of at least seven paintings of the same
size and orientation, painted between 1883 and 1887.
